(October 1998-December 9, 2003)

Logo: On a black/blue scrolling background with a yellow moving line and semi-transparent binary digits, we see an outline of the word "wamo". The said word then moves on to the outline. There is now a galaxy background. A line fades in below the logo. Under this, "WARNER ADVANCED MEDIA OPERATIONS" and "MULTIMEDIA CENTER" (and the DVD logo) fade in.

Variants:

  • A still version exists. This version has the "WARNER ADVANCED MEDIA OPERATIONS" text in blue-white, the "MULTIMEDIA CENTER" text slightly less spaced and in white, adds "Compression, Authoring & Design Services" below the logo, and adds the trademark symbol next to the DVD logo. This version was seen on some Region 2 Universal DVD releases, such as The Mummy, Mystery Men, Bridget Jones's Diary, Babe, Babe: Pig in the City, Small Soldiers, About a Boy, American Pie, The American President, The Fast and the Furious, The Land Before Time: The Big Freeze, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, as well as the Region 1 DVD releases of Pitch Black, Born on the Fourth of July, Touch of Evil, The Skulls, Somewhere in Time, Possession, Rear Window, Mo' Better Blues, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, Battlestar Galactica, and Out of Africa.
  • There is also a variant of the still version without "Compression, Authoring & Design Services" and the DVD logo below, "WARNER ADVANCED MEDIA OPERATIONS" in yellow, and "MULTIMEDIA CENTER" in white. This version was seen on the UK DVD of The Land Before Time IX: Journey to Big Water, as well as a few New Line DVD releases, such as Theodore Rex and How to Deal.

FX/SFX: The moving and fading. None for the still versions.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh sound.

Music/Sounds Variant: The still versions are silent.

Availability: Uncommon, bordering on rare.
