Spelling Entertainment Group formed its own film unit in 1990 to help push the distribution of Aaron Spelling productions in the international market. Spelling Films was shut down in 1998 by majority owner Viacom, who wanted to pool resources into Spelling Television.
(1995-1997)[]
Nickname: "The S"
Logo: Almost the same as the 1995 Spelling Films International logo, but there is no line above "SPELLING". The word "FILMS" appears under "SPELLING". The background is a blue tone. The Spelling byline fades in below.
FX/SFX: Same as the Spelling Films International logo.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Can be seen on 1995-1997 films by Spelling. Surprisingly, it was also seen on a French trailer for Breakdown, which can be found on the 1998 French 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment VHS of The Making of Independence Day, despite the film itself not using the logo.
