(1994-2001)[]

Nicknames: “Snoopy and Woodstock on Video”, "Snoopy and Woodstock", "The Peanuts Circle",

Logo: On a white background (over a Japanese flag like background), we see Snoopy and Woodstock over the words “PEANUTS HOME VIDEO”, in the Peanuts font. Snoopy is holding a yellow flag over a red circle with “PEANUTS” on it in purple. Woodstock holds a purple sign that has “HOME VIDEO” on it in yellow.

Variants:

  • A yellow background variant also exists.
  • On the 1994 Peanuts video promo, the logo is placed over an outside scene and is between two trees. Here, the circle is in blue rather than red.
  • On the 2000 Peanuts video promo (the "Kids" one), the logo zooms out on a yellow background and bounces around some before leaping off the screen to the right.
  • Depending on the tape, the logo either fades or cuts in and out.

FX/SFX: None, except for the bouncing on the 2000 "Kids" promo variant.

Music/Sounds: None, except on the 1994 promo variant where "Linus and Lucy" by Vince Guardiali starts playing while an announcer says "Introducing Peanuts Home Video". The 2000 "Kids" promo variant lacks the announcer and replaces it with some cartoony "bouncing" sound effects.

Availability: Rare, bordering on uncommon. It debuted on the 1994 Peanuts promo appearing on the first seven releases (including the first two volumes of The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show), and appears on all 1995-2001 Paramount VHS releases of Peanuts specials as well as on the 2000 promos which can be found on numerous family-oriented Paramount tapes from the time. The last tape to use this was It's the Pied Piper, Charlie Brown.

Editor's Note: It's a cute logo, and is a favorite amongst Peanuts fans.
