Closing Logo Group

Background: Paramount Players is a film studio division of Paramount Pictures foundeed in 2017, focusing on "contemporary properties" while working with other Viacom brands.

(November 2, 2018–)[]

Logo:

  • Opening: It's nearly the same as the bylineless version of the 2013 version of the 2011 Paramount Pictures logo, but at the end the stars and text encircle the mountain peak higher than usual and all turn metallic. As this happens, the background turns dark gradient blue and the abstract mountain design from the 1968 print logo appears again as the world "PLAYERS" fades in between the tip of the mountain and "Paramount".
  • Closing: Same as the still version of the 2013 version of the 2011 Paramount logo.

Bylines (Closing Logo Only):

  • November 2018-November 2019: "A Viacom Company"
  • January 2020-2022: "A ViacomCBS Company"

Variants:

  • On What Men Want, shortly after the fanfare ends, the logo disappears but the background remains for the BET Films logo.
  • On Dora and the Lost City of Gold, the logo fades in shortly after the fanfare starts.
  • On Playing with Fire, it fades out on the last note.

FX/SFX: This is pretty much a modified version of the 2011 Paramount logo, with some influence from the 1975 logo.

Music/Sounds: The same Michael Giacchino fanfare as the 2011 Paramount logo. Sometimes, the opening theme (or in the case of Body Count, opening speech) plays over it.

Music/Sounds Variant: On Dora and the Lost City of Gold, sounds of wind and water swishing are added for the star's effect.

Availability: Current. It first appeared on Nobody's Fool and can also be seen on other films from the division.

Editor's Note: This is a neat callback to the 1975 logo, which also featured a realistic mountain turning into an abstract version.
