Background

Optimum Productions is the production company of Michael Jackson, responsible for the creation of his short films (including his music videos). Today, Optimum Productions is owned by Michael Jackson's estate.

1st Logo (August 31, 1987)

Logo: On a black background, we see a stylized 2D design of Michael Jackson's legs. Underneath is "OPTIMUM PRODUCTIONS" in cyan like the rest of the logo.

FX/SFX: Nothing, it's a still logo.

Music/Sounds: Michael Jackson singing.

Availability: Was seen on the Bad short film from 1987.

2nd Logo (1988)

Optimum Productions-Motown Productions (1988)-2

Logo: We see the design from before in a white background with the name "OPTIMUM PRODUCTIONS" in red lettering.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Was seen on the Showtime documentary Michael Jackson: The Legend Continues.

3rd Logo (October 25, 1996)

Logo: On a white background, the logo (in black) fades-in. Below the logo is "AN OPTIMUM PRODUCTIONS FILM".

FX/SFX: The logo fading in.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen at the end of Michael Jackson's Ghosts (the Kingdom Entertainment logo appears at the beginning).

4th Logo (August 31, 2012- )

Optimum Productions (2017)-2

Logo: Same as the Michael Jackson logo, but the text reads "OPTIMUM PRODUCTIONS".

Variant: On Michael Jackson's Halloween, the logo is still.

FX/SFX: Same as the Michael Jackson logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as The Michael Jackson Company's logo. On Michael Jackson's Halloween, none.

Availability: Seen on Bad 25. The still version appears on Michael Jackson's Halloween.
