Closing Logo Group

1st Logo (1982–1990)[]

MTC Video (1982-1990)

Nicknames: "SuperVideo's Greek Brother", "Greek Fire Alarm"

Logo: On a blue background, many yellow letters and outlines are seen in extreme close-up and warp into the BG. As the progress slows down, the outlines and letters stop warping, forming the logo.

FX/SFX: The logo warping.

Cheesy Factor: The Scanimate effects are very outdated, and so is the music, which has been stolen. The quality is also blurry and the logo is badly cropped, but that's probably due to tape deterioration.

Music/Sounds: A short version of the ATC ID from 1979, but the pitch is higher by 8 semitones and sped up.

Availability: Seen on old Greek VHS tapes.

Scare Factor: Medium to high. The Scanimate effects and the music can scare more than a few, but the plagiarism of the music may cause laughs.

2nd Logo (1990–1996)[]

Logo: On a space background, three red lines from thinnest to thickest fly in and flash and settle. A giant blue 3D object flies in rotating 360 degrees. At it's middle point, the object flips to it's top and rotates 90 degrees, revealing it's MTC text from before but thinner. The logo flashes, becoming metallic and "video" in white is wipe in by a light. A large blue streaked border is wiped in. The border disappears and two blue boxes with white outlines appear behind the logo, The MTC logo turns sky blue, and the stars disappear. The logo then zooms in.

FX/SFX: Early CGI.

Cheesy Factor: The animation of the lines is a bit dated, and the CGI looks a bit rushed. The logo also shakes a bit, but it's probably due to a minor tape error. Overall, it's certainly a huge improvement over the previous logo.

Music/Sounds: A funky rock tune.

Availability: Seen on Old Greek VHS tapes, especially on some Greek Inspector Gadget tapes. If you do not live in Greece, go there and find a tape with a MTC print on it, or use an ordering website.

Scare Factor: Low. This is much better than the last one.
