This is the music video and DVD division of Columbia Records, a record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment.

(1993-2006)[]

Nickname: "CMV"

Logo: Same as the CBS Music Video Enterprises logo, but "ENTERPRISES" is replaced with "COLUMBIA MUSIC VIDEO".

FX/SFX: Same as the 1st CBS Music Video and SMV Enterprises logos.

Music/Sounds: Same as the CBS Music Video and Sony Music Video logos.

Availability: Seen mainly on VHS and DVD video releases of music-related films as well as titles from Columbia Records artists, like MGM's Pink Floyd: The Wall. It is seen on DualDisc releases by Columbia artists as well, but is often hidden in the bonus features--for example, the logo can be accessed on the DualDisc of John Mayer's Heavier Things by accessing the bonus features menu and selecting the short The Paul Reddy Show. Despite the print logo appearing on the packaging, this logo does not appear on the DVD included with the CD/DVD combo Axis of Justice: Concert Series Vol. 1.

2006-2009[]

Columbiamusicvideo

Nickname: "The Columbia Walking Eye"

Logo: On a black background, we see a red, 3-D version of the Columbia "Walking Eye" logo, spinning its parts around. Then, the eye zooms out and mends all of its parts together to the left of the screen as a box slowly fades in over it. Then the words:

COLUMBIA
MUSIC VIDEO

in chrome and in the same font as the CBS logo, flickers itself in.

Trivia: The "Walking Eye" logo debuted in 1953, while the current design made its debut in 1961. It's supposed to represent a stylus (the legs) above a vinyl record (the eye).

FX/SFX: The eye spinning and zooming out, the text flickering.

Music/Sounds: A series of whooshes that end in a grungy, echoing guitar lick.

Availability: Appeared on later music DVDs from the company. It also appeared on the Walmart bonus DVD of iCarly: Music from and Inspired by the TV Show.
