Background[]

Kid Flicks was the children's division of the short-lived Canadian budget-label Interglobal Home Video.

(1987-88)[]

Nickname: "Multi Colored Target"

Logo: On a blue gradient background, a thick yellow arc wipes in from right to left. A smaller orange arc wipes infrom right to left. An even smaller red one wipes in from right to left. This continues with the green and the blue ones to form a rainbow. The rainbow "flips" downwards to form a reflection, turning the rainbow into a multicolored, Looney Tunes-esque bullseye. A red circle zooms out into the center of the bullseye. Immediately the letters in the word "KID", arranged in an arc zoom out from the center one by one, each with a 3D "effect". The letters in the word "FLICKS", do the same, except all at once. The letters flash pink four times. A copyright date then appears below. After about two seconds, the whole thing zooms out to the center of the screen.

FX/SFX: All the animation, standard 80s wiping, flipping, and zooming effects.

Music/Sounds: Starts off with an ascending harp as the rainbow is wiped in, then culminates in a synth fanfare through out the logo, coupled with synth "bounce" hits as the letters and words zoom in, "rattling" as the letters flash pink and a ding as the copyright notice appears. A whoosh sound effect plays as the logo disappears.

Availability: Extremely rare, was seen on public-domain cartoon tapes.
