Background: Idaho Public Television is a public network serving the state of Idaho. It is headquartered in Boise. It comprises 5 networks, KAID (Boise, also the flagship station), KCDT (Coeur d'Alene), KIPT (Twin Falls), KISU-TV (Pocatello), and KUID-TV (Moscow). It first aired in December 31st, 1971.

1st Logo

Logo: On a blue background, we see a slanted yellow text that says "ipbn", but the letters are connected and the "i" is in the shape of Idaho except for the dot. Below it is a text that says "Idaho Public Broadcasting Network".

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: An announcer that says "This program is produced by (station name), for the Idaho Public Broadcasting Network.

Availability: Extinct on television, but you can see it on old two episodes of Idaho Reports on the American Archive of Public Broadcasting.

Scare Factor: None.

2nd Logo

Logo: On a view of a mountain, a teal map of Idaho and a text that says "Idaho Educational/Public Broadcasting System Presents" fades in.

FX/SFX: The map and text fading in.

Cheesy Factor: Extremely simple animation, but it has more points thanks to the irritating music.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized rising tune. In 1985 and onwards, the last note is longer.

Availability: Same as above.

Scare Factor: Minimal, the music might disturb or annoy some.

3rd Logo (1995-2002)[]

Logo: On a brown water background, we see a lined rectangle with the Idaho map in it on the bottom, it moves up to the center and facing the viewer, while a text that says "IDAHO" with "PUBLIC TELEVISION" below it comes up from the above and then it moves down to the center and facing the viewer.

FX/SFX: The water, the text and logo moving.

Cheesy Factor: The 3D animation looks dated for it's time.

Music/Sounds: A rising xylophone sound.

Music/Sounds Voiceovers: On Dialogue, an announcer says "Dialogue is a production of Idaho Public Television"

Availability: Seen on Dialogue during the era and the special Saved by the Bill.

Scare Factor: None.

4th Logo (2002-present)[]

Logo: On a black background with black-blue gradient bars on the top and bottom, we see clips going to the center, while a blue rounded rectangle with the Bitterroot Mountains in it appears, then a text that says "IDAHO PUBLIC TELEVISION" blurs in. Then a white map of Idaho fades in front of the rectangle.

Variants: An early version that was used until 2010 has a lined blue rectangle instead and there are no gradients.

FX/SFX: The clips moving to the center, the rectangle appearing, the text blurring in, and the map of Idaho fading.

Music/Sounds: An orchestral fanfare.

Availability: Current, can be seen on Dialogue.
