1st Logo (1994-2001)

Logo: Wee see two shots of black squares reading 'F' and 'C' respectively. We then cut to a rough square-like design with a spinning film reel in the center and the original IFC logo in the bottom left. Two lines extend from the top left and bottom right, and "ifc original production" with the channel name both larger and in red blurs in. A red, bright square moves to the right while another zooms in.

Variant: A closing variant exists, with the logo white and still on a black background.

FX/SFX: The moving lines, the spinning reel.

Music/Sounds: A short rock theme.

Availability: Seen on early IFC original productions, including Independent Focus.

2nd Logo (2001-2006)

Logo: On a white background, the IFC logo in black blurs in, with "ORIGINALS" beside it. It then cuts to a black screen containing the copyright info below "An IFC Original Production".

FX/SFX: The text fading in, and cut to the copyright info.

Music/Sounds: A short rock theme similar to the last logo, but sounding more like a sting from a western film.

Availability: Seen IFC original series from the era, including Henry's Film Corner.

3rd Logo (April 1, 2006-September 23, 2007)

Logo: On a white background, we see the IFC logo in black with the words "Originals" next to it in black blurred and zooms in. Then it cuts to the copyright notice.

FX/SFX: The blurring and zooming.

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Seen on some programs, such as Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession.

4th Logo (July 21, 2007-2009)

Nickname: "The Jar"

Logo: We see two doors opening to reveal an empty jar. One jar is a black IFC logo with the words "originals" logo. The logo zooms in closer, a la the 1976 Viacom V of Doom logo. Once the logo zooms, the words "An IFC Original Production". Sometimes a copyright notice appears below.

FX/SFX: The door swinging open, the zoom, the fade-in.

Music/Sounds: The sound of the door opening, a violin chord as we zoom in, then two tuba notes at the end as a man says "That's original".

Availability: Seen on Season 2-4 episodes of The Whitest Kids U'Know.

5th Logo (2010-2013)

Nickname: "The Frame"

Logo: We see a frame with IFC Originals logo standing on a shelf surrounded by various things. A hand passes, whisking the dust away from the frame. Then a copyright notice appears below.

Variant: TBA

FX/SFX: The live-action hand.

Music/Sounds: Ending theme.

Availability: Seen on Bunk, Bullet in the Face and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. The variant appears on the last season of The Whitest Kids U'Know, early episodes of Comedy Bang Bang and Portlandia.

6th Logo (February 26, 2011)

Logo: On a background consisting of beach sand, several cropped images creating a mosaic of a seagull's webbed feet can be seen on the right. Beside it are the stacked words ''THIS HAS BEEN A PRODUCTION OF'' with the IFC logo in blue below. A white chalk line surrounds the text and logo, and moves slightly.

FX/SFX: The background, and moving chalk line.

Music/Sounds: A quiet and soft synth note accompanied by beach sounds and seagulls.

Availability: Only seen on the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

7th Logo (December 14, 2012-December 19, 2014)

Logo: On a black background, we see the IFC Originals logo from before, except the words "IFC" in white.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Available on some shows such as season 2 of Comedy Bang! Bang! and The Birthday Boys.

8th Logo (May 8, 2014-June 20, 2018)

Logo: On an aqua background, we see the white IFC logo turned witha a black outline. Above it was "This Has Been An" and below is the words "ORIGINAL PROGRAM" with the diamond saying "ORIGINAL" next to it.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on the last seasons of Portlandia, Garfunkel & Oates, Brockmire, Comedy Bang! Bang! episodes from the era, and the first two seasons of Stan Against Evil.

9th Logo (October 30, 2018-)

Logo: We see the IFC logo from before, this time in red on a salmon-colored background. On either side is "ORIGINAL" stacked in half and cut off, with two right-facing arrows connecting "ORIG" and "INAL". "This has been an" is seen above.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on the latest IFC originals, including later seasons of Stan Against Evil and Brockmire.
