Closing Logo Group

Background: High-Quality Film & Video SRL began operations as Hardcore Distribuidora SRL, which distributed pornographic films into Argentinian cinemas. In 1986, it launched a home video label, Hardcore Video. Initially formed to distribute porn and horror movies, the latter was quickly abandoned. On August 24, 1989, Hardcore Video became High Quality Film & Video SRL, and decided to expand into more erotic material, and the company quietly shut down in the early 1990s.

1st Logo

Logo: On a black background, we see the blue words "HARDCORE" in a big computerized font, slowly wiping in, piece by piece with dots. The colors then flash. The word "VIDEO" wipes in, also in yellow, piece by piece with dots, although in a much slower pace. The image consisting of the male and female gender symbols draw in next to "VIDEO", in red. The word "PRESENTA" in green, but in a different font, slowly wipes in. The text's colors flashes.

FX/SFX: The wiping of the logo.

Music/Sounds: An excerpt of "Horizon" by Jon & Vangelis.

Availability: Seen on erotic tapes from the company in Argentina.

2nd Logo

Nicknames: "H from Limbo", "Softcore Video", "Low Quality", "Cheesier Shapes"

Logo: We zoom out from a space grid background with shooting stars. The cyan and pink rectangles, which are parts of the logo move in from the vertical sides and the green triangle part zooms out, forming the result, which looks like the letter "H". The text "Hardcore Video" in blue fades in, which later fading to "Presenta su catalogo".

Variant: When the company name changed to High Quality Film & Video in 1989, the logo freezes before the text appears, and the word "HIGH QUALITY", in yellow, along with "FILM & VIDEO S.R.L." below, appear underneath the logo.

FX/SFX: The simple zoom out of the logo, the space grid background moving.

Music/Sounds: A bunch of descending warbling sounds, part of the song "Frankenstein" by The Edgar Winter Group. It was shortened in later releases.

Availability: Again, seen on erotic VHS tapes from the era.

3rd Logo (1990?-1992?)[]

Nicknames: "Low-Quality", "H from Hell", "Cheesy Shapes", "Not That Much Quality"

Logo: We see a starry black/blue background. Suddenly, we see 2 filmstrips on the left section of the screen: the blue one at the right rotates from the upper portion of the screen, and the red one rotates from the lower portion. After that, we see a green scalene triangle rotate from the upper left portion of the screen to form the letter "H" for "High Quality", which looks like the last one with different colors. Then, we see 4 square grids appear and merge into a bigger square grid, being behind the H. Finally, a set of text consisting:

Film~&~Video S.L.R
su catálogo

zooms in and fades in.

FX/SFX: Everything is 2D on this logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as the last logo.

Availability: Extremely rare. Once again, it was seen on some erotic and horror VHS tapes.
