Background[]

Hartbeat Productions is an entertainment company created by Kevin Hart to produce film, TV and live digital entertainment distribution.

1st Logo (January 15, 2013-)[]

Nickname: "Kevin's Heartbeat"

Logo: On a red background, we see "HART" in white with red tiles aligned to the vertical lines of each letter. To the left of "HART" is "BEAT" in a thin, black font with "PRODUCTIONS" overlapping the last two letters. "A Kevin Hart Company" can be seen underneath the logo as well as a silhouette of Kevin Hart with a heart place onto his chest. Throughout the logo, more red tiles appear above the existing ones, mimicking audio waveforms, as well as the heart in Kevin Hart's chest expanding a little bit before returning to its original size.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • On Kevin Hart: Lyft Legend, the logo zooms away from the screen.
  • It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.

FX/SFX: The red tiles and the heart expanding.

Music/Sounds: The sound of a heart beating with a crowd cheering. Sometimes, none or the opening/closing theme.

Availability: Used in tandem with the next logo. Can be seen on Real Husbands of Hollywood (except for Season 5, which uses the next logo), an episode of Celebrity Game Face, Dave, and True Story. Also seen on the special David A. Arnold: It Ain't for the Weak.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (July 3, 2013-)[]

Logo: We see a city landscape before panning over the skyscrapers. Passing by shows a red ground with "HARTBEAT" comprised of mechanical pieces forming out of the ground while expanding in sync with the heart beats. The text transforms into the one from before while popping out of the ground, alongside the same tiles mimicking audio waveforms. Two cardiograms are drawn and then disappearing; one is more closer to the screen while the other is smaller and forms the byline in black. The Kevin Hart silhouette from last time pops up with the heart expanding more than it once was.

Variants:

  • There's a version where the logo is simply on a red background.
  • Sometimes, the logo is already formed with the only animations being the text popping out of the ground and the heart beating.
  • Still and warp-speed versions exist.

FX/SFX: The view moving overhead and the words animating. Done by EyeCon Graffix and Wisdom Tucker using Cinema 4D and After Effects.

Music Sounds: The sound of a heart beating with a crowd cheering. Sometimes, none or the opening/closing theme.

Availability: Used in tandem with the next logo. Can be seen on Real Husbands of Hollywood (except for Season 5, which uses the next logo), an episode of Celebrity Game Face, Dave, and True Story. Also seen on the specials David A. Arnold: It Ain't for the Weak and Kevin Hart: What Now?.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (April 2, 2019-)[]

Nicknames: "The Microphone", "Heart Explosion", "The Stand Up Comedy Logo", "Kevin's Heartbeat III"

Logo: On a black background with a spotlight, we see a microphone towards the camera, and when it leaves, the camera shows the growing red and white bars. Then, it reveals to be a heart beat which explodes into many blocks. The blocks form the logo while "PRODUCTIONS" and the byline fade in. Also, "HART" briefly lights up, and is now in a red color.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the company name and the byline are absent.
  • A short version exists.

FX/SFX: Nice CGI animation, done by Devastudios.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on Kevin Hart: Irresponsible, London Hughes: To Catch a D*ck, and recent stand up specials. Used in tandem with the two logos above.

Editor's Note: None.
