Closing Logo Group

Les Films Osso was a French film company that was also a distributor of Columbia Pictures material in France.

1st Logo (September 18, 1930)[]

Films Osso 1930

Logo: Over a flickering sunburst backdrop, we see the silhouette of a hill with the Eiffel Tower on top of it. Underneath the tower is the text:

Technique: Live action.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme.

Availability: Seen on Le mystère de la chambre jaune.

2nd Logo (1930s)[]

Logo: On a dark background we see a more realistic version of the Eiffel Tower with a sunbeam behind it. Below the tower contains the same text similarly formatted. The logo zooms for a period of time until it stops zooming.

Variant: There was a closing variant on Le triangle de feu where the logo plays backwards and fades.

FX/SFX: The shining and the zooming.

Music/Sounds: Either the opening or closing theme of the movie.

Availability: Very rare. Seen on Le quai des brumes, among others.

Editor's Note: It may be slightly unnerving to some thanks to the darkness of the logo, and the zooming.
