Background: TBA
1st Logo (1995-2000)[]
Logo On a black space background with stars, "Discovery" fade in and Channel slides through. Below is "Networks". The Earth spins.
FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: Very bad 1990s CGI effects.
Music/Sounds" None, or the closing theme is used. Sometimes the swoosh with 2-note choir is used.
Availability: Unknown, If any prints found on YouTube or DVD.
Scare Factor: None to medium, it depends on what you think about the music or animation.
2nd Logo (2000-2009)[]
Logo We see the white lines with the word "Discovery" and the star flies to the right. Now the word "Discovery" turns to black as the background changes to light blue and white, adding the Earth and the words inside the blue, thin rectangle "NETWORKS." The Earth spins.
Trivia: TBA
FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: 2D CGI effects.
Music/Sounds: A swoosh with a 2-note choir. Other original shows had the closing theme over it.
Availability: It was very common on Discovery channels around the 2000s until now, where its currently rare. It appeared on most original Discovery productions from the time such as Dirty Jobs and How It's Made. In Latin America this was also known to plaster other logos from syndicated programs that broadcasted on Discovery channels like Discovery Kids and Discovery Home and Health, however since the retirement of the old logo design in 2009 this was removed and today the original logos from syndicated productions are still present.
Scare Factor: None to low. The appearance can be startling but the music can be annoying as well. None with the closing theme playing over it.
3th Logo (2009-)[]
Logo: On a black background, we see the Earth easing in and out as the white line makes the letter "D" as the word appears "iscovery" that makes the word "Discovery," with "NETWORKS" appears from the stem of the letter "y." The Earth slowly spins.
FX/SFX: The Earth, and the words.
Cheesy Factor: Even more simplistic than the previous logo. It really looks like a beginner did this so the company would approve it. The movement is rough as well.
Music/Sounds: A deep synth pad.
Availability: Current.
Scare Factor: None.
