Background: Daeyoung Video Production was a home video distributor founded in 1983 by Im Jong-gu, which formerly released Korean & Japanese comics, and domestic/foreign movies in home video. In 1989, Daeyoung Video Production was renamed to Daeyoung Panda.

2nd Logo (198?-1989)[]

Logo: On a footage clip of the music video "Can You Feel It" by The Jacksons, we see the logo symbol from before, but with the words "DY" spaced, with the circle now in blue, magenta & green, all in a black outline, zooming in slowly. A blurred green circle fades behind the logo's symbol. After a ton of seconds, we cut to another background with a ton of rings zooming out, which is the footage of John Whitney's "Catalog". The white outlined, pink korean text of the company's name can be seen shifting out, and then spins back to it's normal position.

FX/SFX: All in cheap animation.

Music/Sounds: The 2001: A Space Odyssey theme, which is sped up.

Availability: Extremely rare. Can be seen on releases from the company until 1989.
