2005–2009[]
In 2005, BET Jazz was relaunched as BET J, which carried a broader array of "sophisticated" music and entertainment programming for African-American adult viewers.
Centric[]
2009–2014[]
BET J was relaunched as Centric on September 28, 2009, with its logo featuring three irregularly shaped circles in various brown shades with the word "Centric" in the middle.
BET Networks relaunched Centric in late November 2014 as a channel geared towards African-American women.
BET Her[]
2017–present[]
Lime variant
In April 2017, it was announced that Centric would be rebranded as BET Her as part as Viacom's restructuring within the company's operations. The rebrand took place on September 25, 2017, with the channel geared as a female-skewed station.
