Astro Oasis (Indonesia/Malaysia)

Background

Astro Oasis (Indonesia/Malaysia) is a Malay-language channel owned by Astro. Launched on September 7, 2007 in Indonesia (via Astro Nusantara) and later October 13, 2007 in Malaysia, the channel focuses on Islamic programming, such as dramas, documentaries, talk shows and variety shows. On January 14, 2019, the channel launched its HD simulcast along with Astro Prima, which replaced Astro Maya HD.

1st ID (September 7, 2007-January 13, 2019)

Logo: First, the scenes are shown in order with water drops rising throughout:

• A further shot of a boy in a red shirt flying a kite with his parents on a bridge is first shown, followed by a shot of the family walking backwards while the mother and her son is pointing upwards. It then cuts to a shot of a boy pointing upwards while flying a kite as his parents watch in excitement, with his father pointing upwards briefly at the beginning of the clip.
• The scene fades into a female photographer waving behind a camera. She then poses behind a graduated man with his two colleagues outside of a university as the camera is about to take a picture of themselves off-screen. Both of the colleagues would later pose between the man.
• A liquid wave effect occurs, transitioning into an old man is reading a book while sitting on a bench at a park, as a woman approaches him. She then reads together with the old man while he smiles at her.
• Various bubbles appear with a shot of a traditional Malay wedding, as the scene fades into a man shaking hands with a person while holding a banquet of flowers, with his wife being seen next to him during the wedding. It then cuts to her smiling at the man.
• A water pouring effect occurs, as the scene fades into two men taking an escalator in an office, followed by an overhead shot of them shaking hands each other over a fast-paced footage of people passing by, as water can be seen flowing over the shot. The bottom shot of this sequence is then shown with a building behind the duo, along with the clouds moving at a fast pace, before going normal upon two hands meet each other. Water can be seen expanding on their hands, before it ripples.
• The scene fades into a grandmother, who is seen waving at the door. It then cuts to a boy in a blue and white striped shirt and a girl in a pink shirt running towards her while waving, with their father in a yellow shirt and their mother in a blue shirt walking behind them. Another shot is then shown, where their grandmother cuddles with the girl while the rest of the family watch them.

After that, water is seen circling around the screen before water from left and right splash in from each other (with a small water drop falling to the right), transitioning into a blurred further shot of the house (with a tree beside it and a rainbow, as the camera zooms out throughout) with the "wave curve" rectangle (the top part colored in turquoise and the bottom part colored in teal) fade in as the stacked channel name "astro OASIS" fade in one-by-one onto the rectangle, forming the logo. The background slowly ripples into a cyan-white gradient background after this.

Variants:

• Three short versions exist which either consist of the scene where a boy is flying a kite, the scene where two businessmen meet up with each other or the scene where the family are visiting their grandmother. Also, the background in the transition is a cyan-white gradient background instead.
• Breakbumpers: Over a cyan-white gradient background with water circling around the screen, water from left and right splash in from each other (with a small water drop falling to the right), revealing the logo with "AKAN KEMBALI" (for pre-commercial) or "KINI KEMBALI" (for post-commercial) in teal fade in as the stacked channel name fades in one-by-one onto the rectangle, forming the logo. The logo's animation is taken from the end of the ident.
  • This bumper was also used at the end of the prayer greeting, albeit the text now says the channel's slogan, "Inspirasi Sanubari", in which the slogan was used until January 14, 2019.

FX/SFX: Live-action and CGI.

Music/Sounds: A soothing piano tune with feminine choir singing throughout, which grows powerful before ending with a five-note piano tune.

Music/Sounds Variants:

• The short versions have the theme shortened to its last few seconds, in which the theme is already powerful.
• For breakbumpers, along with the prayer greeting, it uses a short synth sting with a feminine choir singing the last few notes of the ident's theme.

2nd ID (January 14, 2019-November 19, 2024)

Logo: Over a tilted turquoise and white gradient background with turquoise rings moving on the top and bottom part of it respectively, the turquoise and teal "wave curve" rectangles rotate and form the logo each other. The channel's name "astro OASIS" pops in letter-by-letter onto the rectangles during the process. When the logo is formed, it shines, causing the rectangle with "HD" in white on it moves out while rotating from the back of the logo and settles next to the bottom right of the logo. A light shines on top of the rectangle before it shines itself after the rectangle is revealed. In approximately twelve seconds of the ident, the rectangle moves back to the back of the logo while rotating.

Early Variant: Prior to the channel's renumbering on April 1, 2020, "SALURAN 106/122" appears below the logo.

Other Variants:

• A post-programme ident exists, which was used prior to April 1, 2020. Here, a cloudy sky is first shown, before it cuts to a shot of the leaves, followed by a close-up shot of the garden with a white "O" slowly rotating on the top-right corner. The scene then cuts to a shot of the mosque's floor, before a shot of a fountain is shown with the "O" above it. A close-up shot of what seems to be the fountain's wall or a floor of an unknown place is then shown, followed by a close-up shot of a pond with the "O" above it. This then cuts to a person washing his hands, with his hands are shown, followed by a waterdrop falling into a river, forming a ripple. Finally, the camera pans up from a pond to reveal the "O", with its hole showing all the "O" which is seen prior to the last segment of the ident, with the "O" over the fountain is centered. The camera zooms in through the first "O" into the second "O" in the forest, before zooming into the third "O" over a fountain, in which the letter zooms out, separating itself into two copies and rotate, as the logo formation from the main ident occurs while zooming out.
  • A 15-second short version of this ident exists, where it starts with a shot of the person washing his hands.
• For breakbumpers, the ident is shortened, and the "HD" box quickly moves out two seconds after the logo is revealed.

FX/SFX: CGI by Dabster Studio. Live-action is also involved for the post-programme ident.

Music/Sounds: A calm tune played with a guitar and a piano. This is actually a shortened version of the track "Delicate Cycle".

Music/Sounds Variants:

• For the post-programme ident, a long-held synth note with a choir is heard, along with corresponding sound effects including birds chirping, the sounds of water flowing, a water dripping sound, two whooshes and a light shimmering sound.
  • The 15-second short version uses a relaxing flute tune, while retaining the corresponding sound effects from the main post-programme ident.
• For breakbumpers, the main ident's theme is shortened.

Logo: The ident starts with four vertical rectangles, with the first rectangle colored in dark blue, the second colored in dark cyan and the third colored in pink are first shown. "OA" in a light grey color is shown on the first rectangle, the half of "A" in dark blue is shown on the second rectangle, and an "S" in a darker tint is shown on the third rectangle. A dark blue rectangle with a thin purple rectangle on the right of it slides in to the right quickly to reveal a shot of a mosque over a tilted line on the left of it, with a dark cyan rectangle with "O" in a lighter shade beside the dark blue rectangle, as a picture of a person's hand writing in Jawi is shown on the right with the second and third rectangles quickly slide away when this happens. The picture on the right quickly moves to the left with a shot of a mosque in Mecca is briefly shown as a white "O" and a dark blue "A" open up, revealing six horizontal rectangles in dark cyan, dark blue and pink, all having "Oasis" inside it in various colors. The rectangles open up, revealing a shot of a person's hand holding a black beaded necklace being shown on the left, and a shot of various religious objects include a mirror and an al-Quran on the right with dark cyan text walls reading "Oasis". Both footages have the dark cyan "o" overlaid onto the center of them while the rectangles move to the left slowly. The scene then moves to the left, revealing a dark cyan rectangle with a dark blue "a" on the left, and a shot of a male prayer over a mosque in the evening on the right, with a dark cyan "s" behind him and a thin dark cyan rectangle on the far right side of him. The entire scene moves to the right slowly before a thin dark cyan rectangle peeks in with a shot of a prayer looking at his hands on the left and a shot of a mosque in the evening on the right, with a dark blue rectangle with "OA" in pink is briefly shown before it got obscured by the shot of the prayer's hands. An overhead shot of three prayers with a man reading the al-Quran then slides to the right, and just as it reaches the middle, a pink rectangle with a text wall reading "Oasis" and a dark cyan text wall reading the same text as the former, with the logo, now consists of the rounded "wave curve" rectangle, with the top part being colored in pink with "astro" (set in an Aller Bold font, which is the font of the Astro logo from the time) and the bottom part being colored in dark blue with "Oasis" (set in a Mulish Bold font), on it, sliding to the left from behind, with a white wave curve between the text. The pink rectangle then slides away as a pink thin rectangle peeks in from the left, and another dark grey rectangle appears behind the pink rectangle with a pink text wall reading "Oasis". A curve (resembling an "O") then draws in on the right of the logo.

Variant: For breakbumpers, the ident is shortened to its last few seconds, with the fourth scene being altered, where a pink rectangle peeks in earlier with a shot of the mosque in the evening over a shot of various religious items.

FX/SFX: CGI.

Music/Sounds: An acoustic tune played with a guitar. Whooshes can also be heard.

Music/Sounds Variant: For breakbumpers, the last few seconds of the acoustic tune is used along with whooshes.
