Background[]

Astrion was founded in the United Kingdom in 1995 by Ivor Schlosberg and acquired by PolyGram Filmed Entertainment in June 1998.

(1995-1999)[]

Nicknames: "The Space Diamond", "Spinning Diamond"

Logo: On a space background, a blue diamond flies in from the distance in the top right corner of the screen, stopping on its tip when it reaches the middle. The diamond flies forwards top-first until it covers most of the screen then turns on its tip where it spins clockwise briefly before flying back to the middle of the screen where it freezes with its top facing forwards. The word "ASTRION", written in silver, flies in from the middle of the screen, doing a backward somersault as it flies towards the bottom of the screen where it stops just below the blue diamond. A sparkle effect forms in the top left of the diamond until it glows.

Variants: On VHS covers, the logo is instead depicted as a blue six-pointed star inside a black circle. On the actual tapes, the star is white.
