1st Logo (October 1986-July 10, 1994)[]

Logo: On the white background, the blue oval contains the sillette of a Spartan soldier with a shield, which contains two 'S's (the left one mirrored) which makes up a 'as'. Next to the oval is:

Everything is outline and is presented in a rectangle.

In-Credit Variant: On A.T.A.C.: Advanced Tactical Air Command, only the name, "ARGONAUT", is shown below the title with "DEVELOPED BY" above it.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None. The attract mode music for the in-credit version.

Availability: Seen on Birds of Prey for Amiga.

2nd Logo (September 1994-November 1995; January 23, 2001)[]

Logo: On the black background with two white straight, parallel lines, we see "ARGONAUT" at the right-center with "SOFTWARE LTD" below the bottom line. At the left of "ARGONAUT" is a symbol of a Spartan made with, in right-to-left order, red for the head, yellow for the inside, green for the outside and blue for the top.

Variant: On Vortex (in its debut), the in-credit "Presented in" logo for Dolby Surround is displayed below the logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Music/Sounds Variant: The Vortex version has the note playing over it.

Availability: Seen on the SNES version of Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo.

3rd Logo (June 24, 1995; September 30, 1998)[]

Logo: We pan up to see extreme close ups of the stone surface. Once the stone surface pans up, we reveal to see a CGI version of the Spartan logo from the previous logo places one-by-one, and the company name emerges below the logo.

In-Credit Variant: The already-formed, still logo is shown on the copyright screen, sharing the screen with the GTE Entertainment logo above, prior to this logo.

Still Variant: On the N64 game Buck Bumble, the logo is already-formed without the marble plate behind the symbol, as it gains the more 3D look as the text.

FX/SFX: CGI.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen only on FX Fighter for the PC.

4th Logo (December 1995-December 1996)[]

Logo: On a black background, we pan down to reveal the B&W version of the Spartan logo, complete with the company name panning over, with the 5 lights, blue, green, yellow, red and white, from the previous logo moving, placing and wiping the Spartan logo in a standard color, leaving sparkles.

FX/SFX: Computer animation.

Music/Sounds: A wind blowing and a sound of waves crashing.

Music/Sounds Variant: On Creature Shock, the logo is silent.

Availability: Rare. It's seen on Creature Shock and Alien Odyssey.

Argonaut Games[]

1st Logo (November 5, 1996-August 11, 2005)[]

Logo: On a black background, we see the particles forming the Spartan logo from the previous logos. The company name from before, except with "GAMES PLC" replacing "SOFTWARE LTD" fades in below the logo. The logo flashes.

Variants:

  • On Alien: Resurrection, the still logo is horizontally arranged with the logo at the left and the text and the text at the right. The lines is extended to the left to fit the 2.35:1 ratio.
    • On Red Dog: Superior Firepower for Dreamcast, the background is white.
    • On Croc for Game Boy Color, the Spartan logo is smaller, the left lines is not shown and "GAMES PLC" is in a different font and is larger due to the system's screen size.

FX/SFX: Particles.

Music/Sounds: A wind blowing, followed by a synth chime. a bang is heard when the logo flashes.

Availability: Seen on several games, like Disney's Aladdin in Nasira's Revenge.

2nd Logo (February 24, 2004)[]

Logo: On a black background, parts of the Spartan logo fade in one-by-one, and the text slides in letter-by-letter without the lines, Also, "ARGONAUT" has no spaces and "GAMES PLC" is centered.

FX/SFX: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen only on Carve.

3rd Logo (June 2, 2004)[]

Logo: On a black background, parts of the Spartan logo from the previous logos zoom in, while the letters "ARGONAUT" from before zoom out and spin as the camera zooms out, "GAMES PLC" from before slides in from the right letter-by-letter and the lines fly in.

FX/SFX: CGI.

Music/Sounds: Whooshes followed by a dramatic fanfare.

Availability: Seen only on Malice.
