Background[]

Alfa Film XXXVII was a small Italian film production company founded on May 6, 1949, initially as Alfa Film S.r.L. (this was renamed to Alfa Film XXXVII lessen confusion), and one of two Aldo Fabrizi's production studios along with Guaranteed Pictures Italia, mainly with the purpose for Fabrizi to produce his own films, seeing himself as a director-producer. It was notable for Fabrizi allowing himself to become a significant producer during the post-war period. The company overall produced 5 films, with its last being Una di quelle, and remained active until it dwindled due to the declining demand for Italian films from the 1950s and the inability to generate sufficient revenue.

Armando Franci, the sole administrator of the company, tried saving the company by exploiting the film royalties, though all of their films' exploitation cycle ended. Franci personally advanced some of his funds but ultimately suggested dissolving the company due to considerably low revenues unable to cover expenses and arrears.
