Abacus Video was an independent video distributor that was founded by Steve Davis (the son of Iver Films Services founder George Davis), Wendy Moorhen, and former Walton Video executive Gerald Good in late November of 1982. The company eventually shut down in January 1984, with Steve Davis forming Arion Communications not long after.

In the center of the tube, the letters "AV" are seen in a Motter Ombra font, and the text "ABACUS VIDEO" below in a Optima font. The logo remains still for several seconds before flipping back to the top middle of the screen, making room for text to appear.

FX/SFX: Analog computer animation.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on many pre-cert releases from the company, such as Seeds of Evil, Life is Beautiful, and They Call Me Hallelujah.
